For the period of 1981 -2008, on the shelf of Arctic and the Baltic Sea, 29 structures were entered into drilling, 58 wells were spudded, 50 wells were completed, 45 wells were tested.

From the drilled wells:
  • 33 wells are in the Barents Sea:
    • 22 wells from the drilling ships at the sea depths from 100 m up to 338 m and drilling depth up to  4524 m;
    • 9 wells from the semi-submersible vessels at the sea depths from 119 m up to 216 m and drilling depth up to 4075 m;
    • 2 wells from the jack up at the sea depths up to 90 m and drilling depth up to 3150   m;
  • 19 wells were drilled in the Pechora Sea (the south-east part of the Barents Sea); including as  follows:
    • 17 wells from the jack up at the sea depths from 14 m up to 40 m and drilling depth  up to  4417 m;
    • 2 wells from board an experimental drilling rig “Sevastopol” at the sea depths 6,0 m and drilling depth up to 4236 m;
  • 2 wells in the Gulf of Ob; the wells were drilled from the jack-up at the sea depths within 10 - 12 m and drilling depth up to 1275 m;
  • 4 wells in the Kara Sea; all the wells were drilled from the drilling ships at the sea depths from 71 m up to 133 m and drilling depth up to 2550 m;
  • 1 well in the Baltic Sea (Semi-submersible) at the sea depth of 156 m and drilling depth up to 1835 m;

As of 01.11.2009, the volume of exploration drilling has amounted to 165,3 thousand m.

In the years to come, FSUE AMNGR is planning to build offshore wells on Arctic shelf from board the Jack-up Kolskaya.

In September 2009, the Jack up Murmanskaya started drilling offshore the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
