FSUE “Arktikmorneftegazrazvedka” started to conduct geological and prospecting works for oil and gas on the Pechora Sea shelf in 1981. As a result of these works 15 fields were discovered on the Barents, Pechora and Kara Seas shelf. Four of them – Prirazlomnoye, Varandey-more, Medynskoye-more and Dolginskoye are oil fields; one Severo-Gulyaevskoye is oil and gas-condensate; five of them- Pomorskoye, Shtokmanovskoye, Rusanovskoye, Leningradskoye and Ledovoye are gas condensate; and five are gas fields: Murmanskoye, Severo-Kildinskoye, Ludlovskoye, Severo-Kamennomysskoye and Kamennomysskoye- more.

 

 

 

Murmanskoye gas field

That was the first field discovered by FSUE AMNGR in 1983. It is located in the southern part of the Barents Sea. Sea depths within the field are from 68 to 123 m. Gas deposits are referred to terrigenous deposits of the Middle inferior Trias. According to the geological reserves Murmanskoye field is classified as a large one.      

 

Pomorskoye gas condensate field

The field was discovered in the southern part of the Pechora Sea in 1985. Sea depths within the field are from 20 to 30 m. There is one well drilled on the field, in the log of which the presence of gas condensate deposit was discovered in carbonate deposits of Asselian- Sakmarian of the Lower Permian. According to the amount of resources and reserves Pomorskoye field is referred to medium fields.      

 

Severo-Kildinskoye gas field

The field is located in the south- western part of the Barents Sea. It was discovered in 1985. Sea depths within the field are from 230 to 280 m. There are three wells drilled on the field. Gas deposit is referred to terrigenous deposits of the Lower Trias. According to the amount of geological resources and reserves of gas Severo-Kildinskoye field is classified as a medium one.      

 

Severo-Gulyaevskoye oil and gas condensate field

The field was discovered in the central part of the Pechora Sea in 1986. Sea depths within the field are from 10 to 30 m. There is one well drilled on the field, in the log of which two deposits were discovered: oil and gas condensate. Oil deposit is located in terrigenous deposits of the Upper Permian, and gas condensate in carbonate deposits of the Middle -Upper Carboniferous. According to the amount of hydrocarbon reserves Severo-Gulyaevskoye field is referred to medium one.   

 

Shtokman gas condensate field 

The field is located in the central part of the Barents Sea. It was discovered in 1988. Sea depths within the field are from 279 to 380 m. There are seven wells drilled on the field, six of them (No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) were drilled by FSUE AMNGR. Three gas condensate deposits were discovered in terrigenous deposits of the Middle Jurassic. According to the geological reserves of gas Shtokmanovskoye field is classified as a unique one.     

 

Prirazlomnoye oil field

The field was discovered in the central part of the Pechora Sea in 1989. Sea depths within the field are from 17 to 19 m. There are five wells drilled on the field. Four wells (No. 1, 2, 3, 4) were drilled by FSUE AMNGR. Oil deposit is referred to carbonate deposits of the Lower Permian and Upper Carboniferous. According to the amount of the recoverable oil reserves Prirazlomnoye field is referred to the large fields. 

 

Rusanovskoye gas condensate field

The field was discovered in the south-western part of the Kara Sea in 1989. Sea depths within the field are from 50 to 100 m. There are two wells drilled on the field. Seven gas condensate deposits were discovered in terrigenous aptian deposits of the Lower Cretaceous. According to the geological reserves of gas Rusanovskoye field is classified as a unique one.    

 

Ludlovskoye gas field

The field is located in the central part of the Barents Sea. It was discovered in 1990. Sea depths within the field are from 200 to 240 m. There are three wells drilled on the field. One gas deposit was discovered in rerrigenous deposits of the Middle Jurassic. According to the geological reserves of gas Ludlovskoye field is referred to the large ones.    

 

Leningradskoye gas condensate field

The field was discovered in the south- western part of the Kara Sea in 1990. Sea depths within the field are varied from the north-west to the south –east from 80 to 165 m. There are two wells drilled on the field. Five deposits were discovered in the log of the field in terrigenous lower and upper cretaceous deposits. According to the geological reserves of gas Leningradskoye field is classified as a unique one.    

 

Ledovoye gas condensate field

The field is located in the north-eastern part of the Barents Sea. It was discovered in 1992. Sea depths within the field are from 200 to 280 m. There are two wells drilled on the field. Four deposits were discovered in terrigenous deposits of the Middle Jurassic, two of them are gas and two are condensate. According to the geological reserves of gas Ledovoye field is referred to the large ones.    

 

Varandey-more oil field

The field was discovered in the southern part of the Pechora Sea in 1995. Sea depths within the field are from 14 to 18 m. There are two wells drilled on the field. Wells No.1 and No. 2 were drilled by FSUE AMNGR under the contract with JSC “Gazprom”. Oil deposit refers to carbonate deposits of the Lower Permian. According to the amount of the recoverable reserves and oil resources Varandey-more is referred to the middle fields. 

 

Medynskoye more oil field.

The field was discovered in the southern part of the Pechora Sea. Sea depths within the field are from 12 to 22 m. There are four wells drilled on the field. One well (No.1) was drilled by FSUE AMNGR under the contract with JSC “Gazprom” and wells No. 2, 3, 4 under the contract with CJSC “Arktikshelfneftegaz”. There are five deposits discovered in the log, which are referred to carbonate deposits of the Lower Permian and Carboniferous and to deposits of the Upper and Lower Devonian. According to the amount of the recoverable oil reserves Medynskoye-more is classified as a large one. 

 

Dolginskoye oil field

The field is located in the central part of the Pechora Sea. It was discovered in 1999. Sea depths within the field are from 15 to 62 m. There are three wells drilled on the field, two of them: Severo-Dolginskaya No.1 and Yuzhno-Dolginskaya No.1 were drilled by FSUE AMNGR under the contract with JSC “Gazprom”. Oil deposits were discovered in terrigenous deposits of the Upper Permian and carbonate rocks of the Lower Permian and Carboniferous. According to the amount of the recoverable oil reserves Dolginskoye field is referred to the large fields. 

 

Severo-Kamennomysskoye gas field

The field was discovered in the Ob Bay water area in 2000. Sea depths within the field are from 11 to 14 m. There are eight wells drilled on the field. Well No.1 was drilled by FSUE AMNGR under the contract with JSC “Gazprom”. Discovered gas deposit is located in Cenomanian of the Upper Cretaceous. According to the amount of geological gas reserves Severo-Kamennomysskoye field is classified as a large one. 

 

Kamennomysskoye –more gas field

The field is located in the Ob Bay water area. It was discovered in 2000. Sea depths within the field are from 11 to 17 m. There are seven wells drilled on the field. Well No. 1 was drilled by FSUE AMNGR under the contract with JSC “Gazprom”. Discovered gas deposit is located in Cenomanian terrigenous deposits of the Upper Cretaceous. According to the amount of geological gas reserves Kamennomysskoye-more field is referred to the large ones.
